Lots of news to end the semester

There have been a lot of news and things to celebrate as we end the semester:

Josh & Lane presented at Undergraduate Research Day. Josh took First place in biological sciences!! 

Three of the undergraduates in the lab, Josh, Lane, and Cass, were accepted into summer research programs. Josh will be doing research at OUHSC as part of their Summer Undergraduate Research Program, Lane was awarded the Provost's UReCA Summer Fellowship to continue to do research in the lab over the summer, and Cass will be doing a NIH Summer Research Internship for Digestive Diseases and Kidney Diseases.

We had our first lab BBQ at my house as well as a lab ice cream sundae party to celebrate these and other lab successes! 

We are also sad to say goodbye to three lab members who are moving onto their next career stages: Avery Holmes, Hoody Kargbo, and Bekka Ureta. We wish them all the best in their next endeavors!
