We enjoyed a delicious lunch from Chaiyo's, shared our holiday traditions, and decorated cookies to celebrate the end of the semester!

After an eventful spring where we said good bye to a number of members while they moved on to their next adventures, the Ibberson lab moved to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville starting August 1! We have been slowly getting settled and getting to know Knoxville and are really excited for the science and fun that will come in our new home!
We welcomed our newest PhD student to the lab today, Shannon Fulton! Shannon is a PhD student in Microbiology and certified medical laboratory scientist. Shannon is interested in how microbiome interactions during disease impact disease progression, correlating microbial physiology and antibiotic resistance as guides for best practice treatments. We are so excited to have Shannon join us!
Aanuoluwa presented her first poster at the Great Plains Infectious Disease Conference in Columbia, MO over the weekend. She did a great job!
We'd like to welcome Hoody back to the lab on his first day in his new role as a Research Technician in the lab!
Our undergraduates in the lab (Bekka Ureta & Josh Cuozzo, left; Hoody Kargbo & Lane McCoy, right) presented their research from this semester over the weekend at Undergraduate Research Day. They all did an excellent job and we are so proud of all they have accomplished!
